Last summer I visited the Gates of Melancholy as documented here: Gates of Melancholy. I knew then I would be visiting again and these shots are from my latest trip there.
This is one of those sims that has a continuous appeal to me. Not overdone, beautifully artistic, and well thought out. Photographic opportunities galore and definitely worth a visit.
There are times in your life where you find yourself thinking about revisiting something from the past be it a sim, a club, or even a person. All I can say is, that if the desire is there, pursue it. Sometimes you will be disappointed with the pursuit while other times you will be delighted. You never know until you act upon your impulse.
So, if you have the desire to check out the original post, please scroll up and click the link in the first paragraph. I would hope that it leaves you delighted. 🙂
I hope you enjoy the pictures and, as always, the SLURL is included at the bottom of this post.

It has been quite a while since I have created a sim from scratch and this is one I am particularly happy with. Since relocating in RL, I have developed a love for roller coasters and thrill rides and decided to take that love from RL to my Second Life. Originally I was going to keep this for my own enjoyment but, upon finding some quality rides and placing my store on the sim, I have decided to open it to the public to enjoy.
I want to tell those who reached out to me over the past month how much I appreciate them. Even someone who called themselves family that attacked me out of the blue without knowing all the facts. They opened another door that was once bolted, boarded, and barricaded shut for me. Ironic how that happens at times.
This sim is a celebration of sorts for me. Having had my share of turmoil (and yes, some of it self-induced) I have found my happy place. Additionally, I have rekindled a relationship that I never thought would ever be again. With Sofia’s input and ideas, I believe this sim is everything I hoped it would be.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, have a chance to visit the sim and ride the rides and just have a great time. As always, I have included the SLURL at the bottom of the post. And Chip, there is a greedy table there just for you 🙂

I visited this sim and the first thing I noticed, as I often do when I land, was the land description. A simple statement, “What does you heart tell you?” followed with, “P.S. Keep your clothes on while around, thanks!” That last line made me chuckle.
That first line is the catcher though. What does my heart tell me? Let’s just say that deciding what to have for dinner is easier than deciphering the things my heart tells me at times. And for some, asking that question may not be the best thing to do because it can really result in some interesting thoughts and contemplation. I think I will concentrate on keeping my clothes on. That is typically easier for me. 🙂
If you are looking for a nice place to visit, explore, and take some pictures, this is the spot for you. It is a wonderful build with a little bit of something for everybody so you should find something to make your heart smile, if even just for a moment.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and, as always, the SLURL is located at the bottom of this post.

These 7 shots are from the “Elysion” build located on the “Les Reves” sim. This beautiful winter sim is great for photo opportunities as well as exploring. They do various themes throughout the year and do not fail to disappoint. In addition to the wonderful scenery that you may encounter while exploring, you are more than likely to come across some very intriguing avatars as well. Be sure and add this to your visit list this winter.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and the SLURL is located at the bottom of this post.
