Amazingly, this is my 300th post!! Where has the time gone? What started as just a whim has turned into a therapeutic activity of sorts for me and I thank you for letting me share my random finds and thoughts with you over the past 2 years or so. I also want to thank my partner, Sofia, for encouraging me to start down this path back then.
This brings me to the latest adventure, the “It’s a New Dawn” build located on the “Lemon Beach” sim. The land description reads, “The dawn has come…. And the wine will run…. And the song must be sung…. And the flowers are melting….
In the sun.” For those familiar with Kate Bush, you will remember these words as the opening lyrics to her song, “Aerial” which is to the ears what this sim is to the eyes – beautiful. With sounds turned on while visiting this sim, you are in for a totally immersive experience into the tranquility that is represented. A very peaceful and enjoyable visit with plenty of picture opportunities to be had.
Second Life is truly amazing to me. The creativity that is present in game never ceases to impress me. I have enjoyed every post to date that I have made, some during happy times, some during turbulent times. This journey has been as much about celebration as it has been about healing. It is an outlet for my emotions as well as a showcase for beauty (hopefully portrayed as such with my attempt at photography.)
I appreciate all the comments I have received during this endeavor and also the recommendations for sims to shoot but, most of all, I appreciate each and every one of you. It just amazes me that others enjoy what I started as an outlet for myself.
I do hope, as always, that you enjoy the pictures and take time to visit this sim. Make sure you let the sim owner know that you appreciate the sims that you like and spread the word about them as well. To help you with this effort I have included the SLURL at the bottom of this post. I look forward to what the next post may hold (not committing to another 300 at this point LOL).

I decided to venture out again for another shoot and came across the “Le Sixieme Sens” build on the sim of the same name. The land description reads, “Delightful Tuscan romantic feeling and peace all around, breath… You are in love..” Designed by Yeiyaiel and Natacha Haroldsen, this sim is worth the visit. It is also home to the Knick Knacks Mainstore as well.
Photographing sims is my version of meditation. There is nothing I love more than finding a beautiful location and then capturing memories of it for later review. I find it to be relaxing and very enjoyable. I hope you find some of the sims I post about as relaxing as I do.
The past month or so has been a month of discovery for me as an individual. I have made a lot of changes to my activities in Second Life and find myself in a more peaceful place. I had put too much emphasis on the wrong things in world and got caught up in the social circles that exist. I did make a lot of really good friends but, at the same time, picked up some “interchangables”. What is an “interchangable” you might ask? In every group there are those role players, as it were, that are essentially “interchangable.” I liken it to when a character on a television series moves on and someone else is brought in to play a similar role or the plot moves on to another member of the ensemble thereby elevating their importance to the show. Second Life is full of these role players and, I am sure, in other’s Second Life, I am one of those role players. It is just the nature of the experience and not a statement to the quality or value of any individual.
Anyway, I guess as you move through Second Life and grow with the experience, the “interchangables” become more apparent and, when you find them running with another circle, you just smile and are happy they found a new role. Kind of like me. I have found another spot and actually am pretty happy with it. I am the lead in my story, of course, and have welcomed back a leading lady that left some time ago (guess she did not find a better role). I will continue exploring as I have in the past and visiting with the special people in my Second Life and, as always, continue to randomly happen upon those “interchangables” in their new roles in another story. Yeah, who needs television when you have Second Life.
Now on to the pictures. I do hope you like them and you will find the SLURL at the bottom of the post.

Last summer I visited the Gates of Melancholy as documented here: Gates of Melancholy. I knew then I would be visiting again and these shots are from my latest trip there.
This is one of those sims that has a continuous appeal to me. Not overdone, beautifully artistic, and well thought out. Photographic opportunities galore and definitely worth a visit.
There are times in your life where you find yourself thinking about revisiting something from the past be it a sim, a club, or even a person. All I can say is, that if the desire is there, pursue it. Sometimes you will be disappointed with the pursuit while other times you will be delighted. You never know until you act upon your impulse.
So, if you have the desire to check out the original post, please scroll up and click the link in the first paragraph. I would hope that it leaves you delighted. 🙂
I hope you enjoy the pictures and, as always, the SLURL is included at the bottom of this post.

It has been quite a while since I have created a sim from scratch and this is one I am particularly happy with. Since relocating in RL, I have developed a love for roller coasters and thrill rides and decided to take that love from RL to my Second Life. Originally I was going to keep this for my own enjoyment but, upon finding some quality rides and placing my store on the sim, I have decided to open it to the public to enjoy.
I want to tell those who reached out to me over the past month how much I appreciate them. Even someone who called themselves family that attacked me out of the blue without knowing all the facts. They opened another door that was once bolted, boarded, and barricaded shut for me. Ironic how that happens at times.
This sim is a celebration of sorts for me. Having had my share of turmoil (and yes, some of it self-induced) I have found my happy place. Additionally, I have rekindled a relationship that I never thought would ever be again. With Sofia’s input and ideas, I believe this sim is everything I hoped it would be.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, have a chance to visit the sim and ride the rides and just have a great time. As always, I have included the SLURL at the bottom of the post. And Chip, there is a greedy table there just for you 🙂
